Endorsements

Endorsements from elected leaders and organizations matter, and I’m proud to have their support. But the support of the people who live here matters just as much. Neighbors. Parents. Small business owners. Working people. Volunteers. People I’ve worked alongside, gotten to know, and listened to along the way.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone willing to put their name behind me. If you believe in what I’m working toward and would like to add your voice, I’d be honored to have your support. You can add your endorsement here.

Huntley Educator

I work for School District 158. I’ve known Christine since I was a child and have been close friends with one of her sons for over a decade. I teach government and have a deep passion for civics and the civic engagement of children, teaching them that they have a voice before and after they reach voting age.

Christine is someone who has always shown love and support to me and her kids without compromising or wavering in her beliefs or values as a mother or community member. She has always encouraged her family to do their own research and form their own political beliefs. Knowing that she gives her children the freedom to potentially disagree with her political stances, while still supporting them in their endeavors regardless of their choices, shows me that she will be an open ear to all as a member of the Board while maintaining her integrity.

I do not speak for School District 158 by any means, but I do believe in their mission of ‘All Students Always,’ and that includes my international and LGBTQ+ populations, which I’ve seen Christine support time and time again.

There is nothing but positive change that could come from Christine’s point of view on the Board. I care deeply about my community and the people within it. That is truly the only reason I need to endorse someone who feels the same.

Worked with Christine

I'm in Cincinnati, Ohio, and wish we had Christine running for any office here! She's the genuine article. We need people running for County Board who don't have greed, prestige or personal gain as their motive. As soon as you spend any time with Christine, you realize she wants to use her relational skills, grit, values, knowledge and motivation for the good of others- qualities that we're in short demand of in this world. She is a person of extraordinary integrity who will represent District 9 in ways that will make you proud.

Friend and Huntley Resident

I’m proud to support Christine Hamm for McHenry County Board District 9. She is not only a dear friend, but someone who helped me become more involved in our community and showed me how important it is to listen, participate, and make space for others.

Christine leads with empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to understand people’s experiences. She is one of the best listeners I know, someone who does not simply wait for her turn to speak, but truly hears what people are saying. She cares deeply that every person feels seen, respected, and represented, especially those whose voices are too often overlooked.

I believe Christine will bring that same thoughtfulness, integrity, and commitment to the McHenry County Board. She will show up, listen closely, ask the hard questions, and work to ensure that community members have a real voice in the decisions that affect their lives. Our county would be fortunate to have her leadership in District 9.

Educator and Lake in the Hills Resident

I first met Christine through her involvement in our school board election, where she was a key part of Candidates for All Kids, a grassroots campaign that successfully supported five candidates from different backgrounds. As both an educator and a parent in the district, I wanted to become more involved in decisions affecting our schools and community, and Christine immediately stood out to me as organized, honest, dependable, and someone who gets things done.

Through that experience, I saw firsthand how Christine brings people together. She listens, follows through, and doesn’t shy away from difficult conversations or differences of opinion. I’ve watched her create space for people with very different perspectives while keeping everyone focused on the purpose of the conversation and making sure people feel heard and respected, even when there isn’t agreement.

Our community is made up of people with different experiences, priorities, and perspectives, and one kind of political leadership doesn’t represent all of us. To me, Christine’s ability to bring people together without avoiding hard conversations is one of her greatest strengths.

I met Christine when our sons played on the same hockey team, and we’ve both been part of the Huntley-Lake in the Hills community for many years.

I’m proud to support Christine’s candidacy. She is driven, organized and motivated, while also being caring and compassionate. She genuinely wants what is best for the people who live here, and I believe she will bring those qualities to the County Board and make a positive impact in our community. As a resident of District 9, I’ll be proud to cast my vote for Christine.

I got to know Christine while volunteering for a local campaign, and I was immediately impressed by her leadership skills, organization, and willingness to jump right in and get things done. She was knowledgeable about local issues and had a remarkable ability to communicate clearly and thoughtfully with people.

What stood out to me just as much, however, was her willingness to listen. Christine sincerely wanted to hear what others had to say, even when their perspectives differed from her own. She approached conversations with genuine interest and gave thoughtful, well-informed responses.

As I’ve followed Christine’s campaign, I’ve continued to see those same qualities—the initiative, leadership, strong communication skills, and willingness to listen that impressed me when I first met her. She doesn’t just talk about being involved in her community; she puts in the time, does the work, and shows up.

Husband and Biggest Supporter (and admittedly biased source 😉)

I support Christine because I know firsthand how dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate she is. She genuinely listens to people, cares about her community, and is always willing to put in the work to make a difference. Christine isn’t a career politician.

She is someone who will listen, bring fresh ideas and new insight to county government, and always keep the people she represents at the heart of her decisions.

She helps lead hundreds of professional counselors that focus on building healthy relationships and maintaining them....coordinating trainings... creating super cool opportunities for professional conferences, and keeping us on our game! She's truly a healthy relationship builder.

She rolls up her sleeves, and will do the work along with you! She'll do the hard things, and she listens to All of her constituents. Communication and community are core values. She's someone you want standing up and standing beside you!

Kim Skaja

District 9 Voter

I met Christine when she got involved with finding and helping five excellent candidates get elected to the Board of Education in D158. I support Christine in this campaign because she is an intelligent, hard working person who listens more than she speaks. She has the background and experience we need. She takes the time to research problems and projects before making decisions. She is fair minded and supportive of others. Christine works to find the best solution in any given situation. She is not beholden to anyone and she will represent all of her constituents.

I believe Christine has what it takes to be a positive addition on our county board.

Family

Christine is my daughter and I’m very proud of of her decision to seek a seat on the McHenry County board. She has always been someone who listens carefully to others and tries to understand what they are experiencing. She is empathetic, enthusiastic, and genuinely interested in the people around her. She cares deeply about her neighbors and about the community where she lives.

What stands out to me most is the sincerity she brings to her campaign. She has put considerable time and energy into running for County Board because she wants to be involved in her community and contribute to the place she calls home.

As her mother, I’ve had the opportunity to see these qualities firsthand, and I’m proud of the person she has become and of her willingness to serve her community.

District 9 Voter

I’ve had the privilege of working with Christine for the past six years, and during that time I’ve seen firsthand how deeply she cares about people and her community. What stands out most to me is that she genuinely wants to serve everyone. She isn’t running just for people who agree with her or share her political affiliation. She listens, she considers different perspectives, and she takes the time to understand the people and issues in front of her.

I believe Christine will bring that same approach to the County Board: listening first, considering what is best for the community as a whole, and making thoughtful decisions based on what she believes will serve everyone—not just people who look like her, think like her, or belong to the same party.

After six years of working alongside her, I’m proud to support Christine for County Board. I know the kind of person she is, and I believe her commitment to serving the entire community is exactly what she will bring to this role.

Huntley Neighbor

I live and work in Huntley and all four of my kids go to Huntley schools. I've been here 10 years. I believe Christine has people’s best interests at heart. She genuinely wants to help us, as her constituents. Too many join politics for shameless self-promotion, not knowing or caring how to be a public servant.
